Learning how to do public procurement can be complicated, time consuming and even slightly tedious. That is why, Nohrcon has introduced a new, exciting e-learning game, which transforms the learning process into a fun and interactive experience. ‘The Public Procurement Game’ is a gift for procurement professionals – as well as the taxpayers whose money they are managing.
In 2023, the simulator has been upgraded, so that you can also learn more about Green Public Procurement (GPP) and experience public tenders from both sides of the table!
In The Public Procurement Game, which is free to play, the entire public procurement process is taught in an entertaining manner.
Step into the shoes of both public authorities and private companies, experiencing procurement from both sides of the table.
Additionally, explore the burgeoning realm of green procurement, making eco-conscious decisions and witnessing the transformative impact of sustainable choices.
Throughout the game, the player receives advice from the public procurement manager, the lawyer, and the IT specialist etc. – as well as feedback on the suitability of the decision-making in accordance with public procurement regulations.
This multifaceted experience not only deepens your understanding, but equips you to excel in a diverse range of procurement scenarios.
Jesper Nøhr Kjærsig, CEO, Nohrcon
CEO of Nohrcon, Jesper Nøhr Kjærsig, hopes that the free public procurement game can contribute to strengthening the quality of public procurement by increasing the interest in ‘the best possible public procurement process’. This will benefit not only those responsible for the tenders, but also those who bid – and essentially; the taxpayers:
”The Public Procurement Game is, perhaps grandly stated, our gift to society – during a time where procurement officials to a greater extent than before are under pressure. As a course provider through many years, it is our experience that procurement officials perform to a higher standard and with more joy when they are more familiarised with the public procurement procedures and regulations – which, in the end, benefits us all.”
Mikala Berg Dueholm, Partner, DLA Piper Denmark law firm
Nohrcon asked procurement experts from the Danish branch of one of the world’s leading law firms, DLA Piper, to quality-assure the legal part of the ‘Public Procurement Game’ – and Partner Mikala Berg Dueholm sees great potential:
“The Public Procurement Game is a fun and educational way to be introduced to the tender process and to become aware of the many decisions the contracting authority must make. We would like to support innovative initiatives that can help public purchasers make the right decisions. The Public Procurement Game is an excellent introduction to tendering and a fun reminder for seasoned public buyers.”
