Join us for the 20th-anniversary edition of Nordic Public Procurement Forum (NPP ’25) in wonderful Copenhagen!
Below you’ll find practical tips on getting to the venue, exploring the area, and making the most of your time in one of the world’s “most liveable cities” – known for the Danish concept “hygge”, broad bicycle lanes, and Michelin-star restaurants!
Venue: Copenhagen Marriott Hotel*****, Kalvebod Brygge 5, 1560 Copenhagen — a five-star waterfront location in the city centre with easy access to sights, dining and transport.
Dates: 17–21 November 2025 (workshops + two main conference days + country Special Days).
Conference dinner: Join the main conference dinner at Restaurant Kilden i Haven on 19 November (not included in the day ticket; limited seats, separate signup). The restaurant is located inside the historic, world-famous amusement park, Tivoli Gardens!
From CPH Airport (Terminal 3)
Train to Copenhagen Central Station (København H): departs every ~10 minutes by day; about 15 minutes to the city centre.
Metro (M2 → city / M3 Cityringen): about 13 minutes to Kongens Nytorv, with easy connections around the ring.
Taxi: 20–30 minutes to the centre depending on traffic.
Copenhagen is having a global moment — crowned the world’s most liveable city in 2025 by the Economist Intelligence Unit, thanks to top marks in stability, education and infrastructure.
And pop culture loves it too: The Bear (Emmy-award-winning TV series) sent its pastry chef to Copenhagen’s food-and-design scene. Wonderful Copenhagen has mapped the show’s locations for visitors.
Even U.S. visitor numbers are surging on the back of Hollywood attention, with Danish travel media noting a “tourist storm” – and several celebrities are relocating or spending holidays in the Danish Capitol.
Harbourfront strolls: Step onto Kalvebod Bølge (boardwalk/waterfront space) and watch locals run, cycle and dip in the clean harbour.
Short walk to classics: Tivoli Gardens, Glyptoteket museum and Strøget shopping street are all near Central Station — minutes from the venue area. Get the full overview at Visit Copenhagen.
Kødbyen (Meatpacking District), Vesterbro: Former industrial zone turned food-and-art hub. Great for casual dinners, natural wine bars and late-night energy.
Torvehallerne Food Market: Light lunch or smørrebrød between sessions — 60+ stands of Danish and international bites next to Nørreport Station.
Reffen Street Food (seasonal): Waterfront containers, global street food and music on Refshaleøen.
Nyhavn & canals: Colourful harbour houses and classic canal tours (photo in the top)
Christiansborg & BLOX: Politics, architecture and harbour culture within easy reach of the venue.
Kongens Have & Rosenborg: Royal gardens for a quick green reset.
